Who is eligible for the Radiology Management/Education Specialization?

Any imaging professional that holds a credential related to the imaging sciences may enter the management/education specialization. This includes, but is not limited to, radiographers, sonographers, MRI/CT technologists, nuclear medicine technologists, radiation therapists, and medical dosimetrists. 

How can I apply for the Radiology Management/Education Specialization?

Continuous enrollment is allowed for the Management/Education specialization. This means students may start the program in any semester.  Two separate applications are required, one to SIU Admissions and another to the Radiologic Sciences Program.

What is the curriculum of Radiology Management/Education Specialization?

Thirty-one Credit hours are required for this specialization; however, 120 credit hours are required for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Radiologic Sciences. Part-time enrollment is offered.

How many students are admitted to the program each time?

There is no limit to the number of students within this program. 

Where are the lectures given?

The Radiology Management/Education course work is offered 100% via an asynchronous distance education environment. No relocation or campus residency is required.

Are there any extra expenses that a student would incur?

Current SIU In-State tuition plus applicable fees are charged for all Distance Education students. Please refer the off-campus tuition and fees for more information.
